A reminder that there will be a quiz on food vocab tomorrow.

Use the links below to complete the reverse side of your worksheet on currency conversion. Note: the prices on this website are in Mexican pesos, but they use the $ symbol. That symbol is used by multiple currencies, not just U.S. dollars! Don’t let it confuse you; you are in fact converting from the MXN price on the website to its equivalent value in USD.

There is no homework this weekend; enjoy the three days off! However, if you are looking for an opportunity to earn some extra credit, students may do a bonus video report, due no later than Thursday (1/23). This will be worth a bonus homework assignment. Progress report grades will be submitted on Friday (1/24), so this is a good chance to make up for any homework that may have been missed so far this marking period.

Video report forms are available here, if you would like one for this weekend. If you don’t want to print it, you can simply include the relevant information on a piece of blank paper. Also, I will make extra forms available on Tuesday, if any students would like one.

Please note: If students have a “homework pass” for a video report, that may NOT be used for extra credit.

Due to yesterday’s snow day, students will have an extra day to bring in $5 for the 7th grade holiday pizza party. The deadline has been pushed back to tomorrow (Thursday).

There will be a test on Quia on Thursday of this week. This will cover:

• Vocab for chapter 4-1 (community places, transportation, and prepositions to describe where things are)
• Giving directions
• The verb salir (to leave)
• Affirmative tú commands

There will be a quiz tomorrow on noun/adjective agreement. You will not need to focus on knowing all the vocab, but you should be able to choose which version of an adjective should be used to agree with the noun it describes. For example:

• La niña lleva un vestido [rojo / roja / rojos / rojos].
  • You would want to circle rojo, because it is masculine, to agree with vestido.

• Los hombres son [alto / alta / altos / altas].
  • You would want to circle altos, because it is plural and masculine, to agree with los hombres.
