7th Grade Homework 5.11.15

Remember that there will be a test on Thursday of this week.

There will be a study group during lunch tomorrow (Tuesday) on -er and -ir verbs, for anyone who is interested.  Also, remember that there are activities up on Quia for extra practice!

For homework tonight, please complete the study guide packet that we began in class.  The answers to the parts that we reviewed in class today are available here.

Video report #5 is also due tomorrow.

7th Grade Chapter 2-1 Test Date Change

The test for chapter 2-1 has been re-scheduled for Friday, February 13th.  If you’re superstitious and this date concerns you, no te preocupes (don’t worry)!  In Spanish, Friday the 13th is not unlucky; it’s Tuesday the 13th (or “martes trece”) that is thought to bring bad luck.

And besides, who needs luck when you have plenty of games on Quia (log in in here) to practice, and all of your notes and the review Powerpoint up on Dropbox here?  😉

There will also be a second lunch study session on -ar verbs tomorrow (Tuesday).  Please let me know Tuesday morning if you plan to attend so that I may plan accordingly.

7th Grade Homework and Test Review Resources 2.4.15

For homework tonight, please complete your paragraphs that you began today in class.  For this assignment, you should describe what you have to do to either maintain or improve your grades from this week’s report cards.  You should use tener + que + infinive  in the “yo” form (for example, “Yo tengo que leer todos los días.”

There will be a test on Thursday, February 12th on:

  • Vocabulary for chapter 2-1
  • -AR verbs (notes available here)
  • Tener + que + infinitive verb and Hay que + infinitve verb (notes available here)
  • Frequency adverbs (notes available here)

There are games available on Quia for extra practice (log in here).  Additionally, the review Powerpoint that we will do in class is available on Dropbox here, if you would like to do some advance practice.

There will be a lunch study session on -ar verbs on Friday (2/5).  Please let me know if you would like to attend so that I can plan accordingly.

8th Grade Homework and Extra Credit 11.17.14

To gain back 10 percentage points on the chapter 3-3 test, please complete the worksheet stapled to your test and return it by Thursday, 11/20.  This worksheet focuses on the trouble spots on the test.  Parts A and B focus on direct object pronouns (which was part E on the test), and parts C and D focus on the present progressive (part F on the test).  To receive extra credit, complete the worksheet and return it by Thursday, still stapled to your test.  Also, if you have a request for a parent signature on the front of your test, it must be signed at that time, as well.  be sure to look at the corrections on the test before beginning the extra credit.  Also, there will be a study group during lunch tomorrow if you need some help on this.  This extra credit is available to everyone, even if the extra credit results in your grade being over 100% on the test.

Your tenth diary is due on Thursday, 11/20.  Your topic is “¿Qué hay en tu comunidad?  /What is there in your community?”  For this prompt, state what sites, businesses, attractions, etc. are in town.  Use the verb “hay” to say there is/there are.  Use the new vocab list for chapter 4-1!

Video report #9 is due tomorrow (Tuesday).
